Pre-Production: Planning Document 2


         This is the 2nd document from the pre-production planning document. This document shows the general information about our film. The general information section includes the title, genre, rating of the film, the theme, 4 words to describe the movie, and when the film is going to be released. This helps give me and my team a general run down about our film and having this on copy also helps give the actors a run down about the film and what character personality's they need to portray. This document also shows the audience section of the planning document. The audience section gives a run down about what kind of audience that the film is trying to target and certain demographics and psychographics. It also gives a run down about how me and my team are planning to engage our targeted audience and get them to interact with the film.

                 In the Exercise 1 the key concept of the lesson was for students to be able to recognize and define signs when analyzing media products for Denotative and connotative meanings. Another element we defined and learned about was semiotics. Semiotics is the study of signs and their meanings and the interpretation of messages in a text. Introduction to Media Blog : Welcome to My AICE Media Studies Blog!

                        To me the importance of studying Media Studies is being able to analyze and understand the different types of media and what every media type means. In my free time I like to watch a lot of movies and TV shows, so being in Media Studies and being able to understand the different types of media could help me understand the different signs and dialogue that is being used. A favorite media product that I consume would be Netflix. Netflix has a purpose to entertain audiences of all different age groups and features all different genres. Preliminary Exercise: Camera Movement Videos

          The objective of the assignment  Activity 3: Camera Movement Video was for students to be able to demonstrate their understanding of storyboarding by applying camerawork  and camera movement techniques in a video production.  In the assignment, we had to create 6 videos that were each 3-7 seconds long that demonstrated different camera movement techniques. The 6 different camera movement techniques we chose to demonstrate were Static, Random Movement, Tracking, Tilt, Pan, Zoom in.  Me and my teammate, Summa.W, worked on completing the assignment. Summa.W filmed 3 out of the 6 videos, The ones she picked were pan, tilt, and zoom in. She completed the video using an iPhone 11.
