Creative Critical Reflection

              For the critical reflection project we had to answer 4 questions about the process of making the film, and how the film challenges certain things. Another thing was explaining how our skills have improved since this project. The critical reflection was definitely fun to do because it gave me the chance to explain what I thought about the film and I got to tell my experience about making the film. We also got to be creative with the design and be able to show our skills with making these creative PowerPoints.

Final Film

        Creating the final film was definitely the best and it felt good having the complete product. After me and my team got our feedback, we figured out what we need to change and planned out a day to be able to film on. We made sure that the final product contained more context on the characters and the theme was more put out in the film. Finishing this project was such an excitement and it felt good to see the final product come together after so much time, planning, and effort put into this project.

Peer Feedback

     Getting the peer feedback was definitely nerve wrecking and caused some anxiety amongst my team. The feedback that we received was that we need to give more context on the characters. This was definitely understood by my team and we took this feedback into great consideration. After receiving the feedback we brainstormed some ideas about how we can give more context to the characters in such a small time period and how it would be effective enough so the audience could get a clear understanding on the characters. After we brainstormed, we filmed some more clips and scenes that we think would give more context on the characters. After we then edited the clips and put them together to work towards completing our final draft of the opening film.

First Draft of Film

     The first draft is definitely the most important and putting together the first draft was very time consuming. Even though it was time consuming it was definitely an enjoyable process. It was also cool seeing the progress on our film and seeing that all the work me and my team have put in finally was all put together.

Post Production: Ending of editing

              Post production: Ending of editing. Towards the end of editing we rewatched the film over and over and added anything we needed to add. When rewatching the film we definitely made some changes and adjustments while also making some improvements on certain scenes as well. Once we finished editing it was another big relief and it felt like one more step to complete the course of media studies. Editing was probably one of the best parts about this project because I was able to see all the hard work that I was putting into the class and project was finally coming together and the vision me and my team created finally came together.

Post Production: Beginning of Editing

              Post Production: Beginning of editing we decided that the person on the team that has the best skills with editing and working technology would be mainly in charge of editing the film. This is so that we could insure that the editing part of the film turned out as best as it could. During editing we added sound effects and background music to help with more or the horror aspect to the movie. Another thing we added during editing was scary fonts on the title and also the credits. Editing was definitely a very thought through process and took some time. Me and my team wanted to make sure it was as good as possible.
